De Ceuster Meststoffen (DCM) is a Belgian company and part of the family-owned Group De Ceuster. Since 1976, it has developed and produced organic and organo-mineral fertilisers for professional growers and home gardeners.
Through continued investment in research and development, DCM creates formulations for a wide range of needs: from gardens and lawns to nurseries, greenhouses and commercial crops.
Organic nutrition starts with the soil
DCM uses more than 30 different organic raw materials of plant and animal origin. Each material is selected for its nutrient content and the way it releases those nutrients.
Organic matter feeds soil microorganisms. As they break it down, nutrients are released in forms that plants can use. Fertilisation is therefore closely linked to the biological activity of the soil.
In its organo-mineral fertilisers, DCM also combines organic raw materials with mineral nutrients to create formulations for specific nutritional requirements.
MINIGRAN®: small granules, even distribution
MINIGRAN® technology turns fertiliser ingredients into small, homogeneous granules. Each granule contains all the nutrients in the formulation.
This format helps the fertiliser spread evenly and mix uniformly into growing media. It offers a practical approach to plant nutrition for lawns and gardens as well as commercial growing applications.
The right formulation for every application
A lawn has different needs from a vegetable garden, an ornamental plant or a greenhouse crop. DCM develops different formulations so that fertilisation can be tailored to the plant, the soil and the growing objective.
For organic farming, DCM offers dedicated ranges such as ECOR®. Suitability for use in organic farming is product-specific and should be checked against the official product labelling and documentation.
Giving raw materials a second life
DCM uses selected by-products from the food industry, such as grape seeds, wheat gluten and potato peelings, as ingredients in its fertilisers.
Materials with valuable nutrient content are given a new use in agriculture and horticulture. This approach forms part of the company’s contribution to the circular economy and more efficient use of available resources.
